Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Stuck at "Uploading to I/O board using 'COM#'" when "Start without Debugging" is selected.

Hi,
  I am trying to program Arduino Uno using Visual Micro(1401.26) and Microsoft Visual Studi0 2010 Professional(ver 10.0.40219.1).

Download is not happening. Output window just displays as below:

Binary sketch size: 1028 bytes (used 3% of a 32256 byte maximum) (0.42 secs)
Uploading to I/O board using 'COM26'

I need help in setting up Visual Micro for Download and debugging.

Hi pradeep15,

a few things to check: have selected the right board you are targeting, and is the cable connected to the board ? I know the last question is obvious, but the only time I get no reply from the programmer is when I forget to plug the cable.

One thing you may do, is load your program in the Arduino's IDE and see if you can upload.

Hi Pradeep,

This means the uploader returned an error. We found that some upload errors are not being displayed correctly by Visual Micro in recent releases. There will be a new release with a fix over the next week.

However we can normally find errors so hopefully you do not need to wait for the release.

The first thing to do is to switch on "tools>options>visual micro>compiler>verbose"

Then try the upload again and post the output so we can see what the uploadr command is
