MPIDE intellisense not working for me in vs2010

Hello Tim,

I am running:

-Windows7
-Visual Studio 2010 Pro
-Visual micro :Jan 31th 2014 - Official release for MPIDE.
- MPIDE -0023-windows-20130715

I reinstall yesterday on another topic and everything was working fine,

Now that I am starting to work with it, I do not get the Visual Assist to work, nothing after serial or other things.

Is there and option to turn on or did I missed something ?

I have a message at bottom left corner " IntelliSense: No members available".

I remove and reinstall, switch from mpide uno32 to Arduino back and forth, still not working. I am running VS2010 pro, could that be the problem?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

The intellisense should be working. Did you setup your syntax color coding for ino/pde files?

Did you try switching to another board such as max32 and back to uno32 again. This can cause an intellisense kick start?

If still a problem please zip and email the sketch along with its sub folder (s) to info@visualmicro.com

Tim

By the way VisualAssist is for Atmel Studio and not relevant to Visual Studio

Tim,

First, thanks for getting back so quickly.

I have the same installation on 2 different machine (work and home). I remove and re-install on both environment, and I get the same result on both, "IntelliSense: 'No members available' .

I test it by doing " file -> new -> sketch project " then I get the void setup and the void loop and I type "serial." then I expect to get the wording to assist my typing. I don't get any help, nothing shows up.

I switched from Arduino to MPIDE, same result. I tried max, same result.

I tried Edit -> IntelliSense -> List member,  it came back with " Intellisense: 'No members available'  ".

Where is the  setup for syntax color coding ?

I must do something wrong but I don't know where ?

Thanks for your support.

Syntax color coding is linked on the home page but you can also search visualmicro.com which is the wiki.

This is the link save you doing that
http://www.visualmicro.com/post/2011/10/09/How-to-fix-Arduino-code-color-coding-...

It is important to set this up but if it does not fix the problem then please zip and email your sketch to info [at] visualmicro.com so I can try it.

Thanks
