Hi all,

I got a new ATMEL-ICE. Is there one way to upload elf via "Upload Using Programming"?  I have to compile my projecs and then upload using "Device programming"

Thanks all

Hi Fabrico,

If you are using arduino 1.5.x and a standard arduino board there should be an Atmel Studio ce3 on the tools>visual micro>programmers menu

If you using 1.5.x with a different core to the standard arduino core then I can explain how to copy the settings.

This is a new feature in the last release that's why it's only implemented for std avr, however the build system is fairly configurable if you want to use your own settings.

Hi!

I have tried the Atmel JTAG ICE 3 and Atmel MKII.

I got this error: "Unable to locate configuration data for this hardware. Please confirm you are using the correct ide (.exe) location"

My debugger device is new, maybe that's the problem. Only the recent avrdude (6.1) can write data on chip.

is there way the visual micro use the "Device Programming" interface to write data on chip?

This is my debbuger device: http://store.atmel.com/PartDetail.aspx?q=p:10500375;c:100112#tc:description

Sorry I missed the fact that this question was about the new version of the ATMEL-ICE

This thread explains how to go about add support for it or any other new device

http://www.visualmicro.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1404320220

In terms of questions about ICE3 please create a new thread because it is too confusing to discuss both the atmel-ice and ice3 in the same thread

Thanks
