Hi,

Thanks for the report.

Not sure what is causing that. We will investigate for the next release.

In the meantime, the references can be found below the Arduino ide and also below each library folder.

This is more likely to be due to a windows update or ano problem, because the Micro explorer uses standard windows .net3.5 components and is unconnected to Atmel Studio.

Sorry for the vague answer at this stage

Sorry, I don't understand this  Sad

When I click small yellow questionmark  ("view help for the current Visual Micro platform"), and the tab "reference", then click to any "html" link course AS to crash. Hope this help to investigate.

Hi,

I see. This is just attempting to open your current default browser to display the html page.

All of these html pages are found below the arduino ide and/or below each library source folder. Visual Micro does not provide the reference examples it simply displays a list of what it can find on your pc disk. It searches the arduino ide references and library references to discover the html files.

They are also the same files that are found on the arduino.cc web site or the web site of each library

Does this make sense?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. We are going to alter the code slightly to use a different windows method to run the url of the reference (.html). This is what happens when you click the links, it is very simple basic windows stuff.

Can you please say which browser you are using so we can try to replicate.

There will be a new beta release over the next few days, hopefully you will find time to give it a try

Thanks

I just installed latest VM to system. Unfortunaty, there is same error.
I had see somewhere in forum that I have to install AVR stuidio 6.2 beta from your site not from Atmel. Where to find that link ?

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. Atmel Studio should be downloaded from Atmel.com.

I have no other reports of the crash you are getting.

When you click reference help on the "tools>visual micro" menu we simply run a .html file. What happens if you paste a url into start run and click OK? Which browser does windows open?

Clicking the help option in Visual Micro attempts to open this page

http://www.visualmicro.com/page/User-Guide.aspx

Thanks

Chrome is default browser and that browser when put some link into it.  At home is also Chrome, and there is no problem with AVR studio version 6.1.

I use Chrome but it doesn't matter which browser I was just confirming that the pc is opening urls that are "run" okay

Can you confirm which reference link you are clicking please

The Visual Micro code for this is simple and the same for both versions of AS6

Thanks
