No Boards

I'm using Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 and Visual Micro does not seem to work correctly.  I can now add arduino projects after figuring out I needed to add buttons to the file menu but no boards are listed as being available.  I'm using Arduino 1.5 and I've pointed to the correct installation path C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino  What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

1)
I think if you select something like "web only" development when vs is first installed you have to add the buttons manually from the Visual Micro macros list. We will try to replicate and cater for this in future releases, one other user reported this.

2)
Normally an empty boards list is caused by entering the Ide location against the wrong Arduino app type. Does your tool bar show 1.0.x or 1.5.x?

Thanks

Thanks, I solved #1 a few days back by adding the items to the menu.  For issue #2, yes, I'm selecting version 1.5x from the drop down and it's not showing the boards.

Thanks for the info.

Are you sure you installed the Arduino 1.5 version. The current release on arduino.cc is 1.0.x

Thanks

So you need to use the 1.0.x application option in Visual Micro. You said earlier you had used the 1.5.x option which would be wrong.

Arduino has 1.0.5 and 1.5.6 versions so it can be confusing  Smiley

If you have used the 1.0.x option with 1.0.5 and you still can not see any boards then this suggests you need to click "tools>visual micro>reset user interface"
