Visual Micro + Atmel Studio 6.2 and editor config for .ino/.pde

Since installing Atmel Studio 6.2 and the latest Visual Micro, I've lost the editor's treatment of .ino and .pde files as cpp files - they're treated as plain text.

Searching the web on this, I find instructions to change a tools->options setting for file types - but that option is not displayed in 6.2. Another suggestion was to edit the registry.
None of these are today-valid.

Anyone know how?

Hi,

The tools>options solution only works for Visual Studio but is no longer required.

For Atmel Studio you can either run the Visual Micro installer and click remove then run again and click install or use the latest Visual Micro beta which contains a new system to prevent this issue.

The issue happens when you use the tools>options window in atmel studio. It can destroy our registry keys however the latest beta re-applies the keys every time Atmel loads.

It's called a beta but really it is a release quality version.

Installed beta. Fixed.

I posted this problem inquiry.

It took almost 3 minutes to get a response from Visual Micro.
Can't you do better?  <grin><kidding><sarcasm humor>
