Hi,

Arduino has its own build chain and config files that determine all build properties. To be Arduino compatible Visual Micro uses these properties and tool chain commands.

It might be in the future that we replicate the properties to the atmel project so that it is easier to use non-arduino commands in Atmel Studio.

If you use the tools>visual micro>programmers or any of the "start" commands within an Arduino project Visual Micro will set these properties automatically for the process.

So I guess your question is:- how can you use custom non-arduino commands in Atmel Studio and find the default settings that you should use?
