Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

The parameter is incorrect

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on these boards, I hope I am in the right forum.

I am having a problem with a project I have been working on for a while. I am working with atmel studios using VW to program my Arduino Pro Mini(5v,16MHZ). Things have been going well with my project so far until this morning.

I made some minor changes to my program and when I went to reload my new frimware I got a

"The parameter is incorrect"

I think it is something to do with the setting of Atmel Studio because I have made no changes to my hardware and nothing major to my software.

If more information is required I will be here to add any missing information.

Hi,

Please switch on tools>visual micro>verbose messages

Then click Build>Clean Solution

Then attempt compile and upload

Email the output to info [at] visualmicro.com

Thanks, that's an interesting one. The compile worked okay but failed when it came to the upload. I might have to add some additional verbose messages to track that but will try to test later today and come back you with solution or more questions later or tomorrow.

Hi,

Can you try the beta from the visualmicro.com downloads page please.

Also confirm that you are trying to upload using COM6 (shown in the output you sent me)?
