I have the Mega board and serial port selected in the Visual Micro pull downs but Atmel Studio is compiling for Uno.

Hi Bruce

If you select a different board then re-select the mega does that solve the issue?

Thanks

Great, it happens every so often mainly when changing ide. It's a bug we need to find.

Thanks for the update, remember the board selection is saved to the project file so you must click Yes to save changes when prompted, otherwise your new selection will not be saved and it will happen again the next time you open the ide.
