Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

ATMEL JTAG ICE MK2 as ISP - atmel.programmers.txt

Hello Visual Micro Community,

I have tested my good old JTAG ICE MK2 and tried to make it work with Visual Micro and Atmel Studio 6.2.

My setup:
Win7-64
Arduino 1.5.8
Visual Micro 1.1412.10
Atmel Studio 6.2
MS Visual Studio Comm. 2013



I would like to share my findings.

I have tested the JTAG ICE MK2 and it works fine as an ISP with the following settings in atmel.programmers.txt:

Code
Select All
atprogram_jtagicemkii_isp.name=Atmel Studio JTAG ICE MK2 (ISP)
atprogram_jtagicemkii_isp.program.tool=atprogram
atprogram_jtagicemkii_isp.program.extra_params=-t jtagicemkii -i ISP
atprogram_jtagicemkii_isp.help=Connect the programmer to the ICSP port

Your configuration has been included into Visual Micro as standard and will be in all future releases
