Visual Micro Property Window

Dear Sirs,
after having downloaded  a sketch project to the target board, I push the "Property" button in the solution Explorer of Visual Studio 6.2 while having selected the line right below the "solution ....(project)" line (showing the project name with an orange icon), it happens that sometimes I can see the Visual Micro window where I can select several options such us "full debug", communication port and speed and so on; sometimes, most of the times, I am not able to see the above VM window but I see a window showing in the left side the following list of choices: Build, Build Events, Toolchain, Tool, Advanced.
Could You please clarify how could I get the Visual Micro window with the relevant parameters instead of the last described window? Actually showing the VM window seems to be a random event.
I thank You in advance

Hi,

The project properties tool window is a standard part of all Visual Studio and Atmel Studio installations. Visual Micro simply adds a few properties to the list.

The following doc might help (some icon images are VS icons and not Atmel but Atmel has the equivalent).

http://www.visualmicro.com/page/User-Guide.aspx?doc=Project-Properties-window.ht...

When the project is selected, you can also look at the "View" menu to find the "Properties Window" and the short cut key to open it (I think ALT+ENTER but see the doc above for more details)

Finally a quick way to open should be clicking the Visual Micro yellow question mark tool bar button. This feature was added in attempt to help people find the window.

The dialog that you mention is called the "Property Pages". Don't shoot me for the confusing terminology because it is Microsoft that made this decision  Smiley To make it worse the Property Pages open as a conventional window/dialog but the Property Window is a tool window that can float or be docked. How confusing is that!!
