Not visible when installing in Atmel Studio 6.2

I recently tried to install the Arduino IDE in Atmel studio. This hasn't worked in either Atmel Studio 6.1 or 6.2.

I don't have administrator rights on my own computer account, so this was installed from a local admin account. It seemed to work from there, but when I log in as myself, it doesn't appear in Atmel Studio, even though I made sure it was installed for all users. I have looked in the extensions directory in program files and it is still there, but it is somehow hidden from me when I try to use it.

Can anyone suggest how to get the installation to appear in Atmel Studio?

Hi Andrew

Open "tools>options>add-in macros security"

Add the location of the visual micro program files folder to the list of path shown on the "add-in macros security" window.

Make sure the path you enter is the 2nd level visual micro folder that contains files with a .addin extension

Restart the ide

Thanks

Thanks very much. The extension now appears in Atmel Studio. Do you also know how to get the 'boards' menu to display Arduino boards? That option under 'Tools' is blanked out.

Hi,

Have you configured your arduino ide location in the visual micro locations dialog?

If not please view the documentation

If so then you have entered the path for the wrong version of arduino. select the correct ide name such as arduino 1.6, arduino 1.0.x etc then set the arduino ide path

Thanks
