How do I add Atmel Explained Board with ATMEGA1284p MCU to be used with Arduino IDE?
I use the Explained board together with Atmel Dragon ISP.

Hi,

Visual Micro follows the Arduino 3rd party build process so if you want to add the board to the Arduino Ide then Visual Micro will work with it. Therefore the best place to ask the question is in the arduino.cc forum.

Another alternative might be to look at the Wiiring Ide which if I recall includes that board by default. This might not be so useful because it also uses a slightly different core to Arduino.

Sorry I can't be more specific.
