Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Cannot view micro boards in Atmel Studio

Have installed Atmel Studio and latest version of Visual Micro and Arduino IDE 1.6.1.  Can see micro apps and serial ports.  Any idea how to make micro boards visible?

Hi,

Thanks for the post. Two questions initially

1) Are you sure you are using Arduino 1.6.1? Run the Arduino Ide and check the title bar.
2) In Visual Micro which application name did you select? Can you post a screen shot of you tool bar with the app selected and empty boards list?

Hi Tim,

I wanted to add a screenshot but got the following message:

"Could not open a new file on the server, check the paths and chmods D:/Domains/visualmicro.com/www/public_html/yabbfiles/Attachments"

I have meanwhile installed Arduino version 1.6 and still have the same issue.  I can confirm there is not anything shown under micro boards in Atmel Studio (version 6.1.2).  I noticed another member had a similar issue.

The other member had mistakenly installed arduino 1.6.3 and has now resolved the issue by installing Arduino 1.6.1

Cam you please answer this outstanding question

Ran into the exact same issue with Visual Studio and Atmel Studio.  Resolved by uninstalling Arduino 1.6.1 and reverting back to Arduino 1.0.5 r2.  Huge step backwards, but it works now.

Hi Rattle,

1.6.1 should work fine. The current on the Arduino web site is 1.6.3. We do not yet support 1.6.2+ and boards will show empty when using it.

Did you specifically install 1.6.1 or did you just download the latest release from arduino.cc?
