Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

VS2013 Installation as Admin is not available for normal User

Hello,
when installing VisualMicro as Admin with Option "For Everyone" the Installation is not available for the normal User. 
As Admin VisualMicro is working ok.

How can i enable VisualMicro also for normal User?

BTW:
When trying to attached the Screenshots Admin vs. User.
I get two  times this Error-Msg:
"Could not open a new file on the server, check the paths and chmods D:/Domains/visualmicro.com/www/public_html/yabbfiles/Attachments"

Therefore i uploaded the Screenshots on a external Server.

Hi Bernd,

If you look in tools>options>environment>macro security there is a list of locations.

These locations are places where you can move the visual micro .addin file to

The way visual studio works is that it looks for .addin files to determine what addins to load.

You will find the visual micro .addin files in the visual micro programs folder

You need to move not copy .addin files or visual studio will attempt to load visual micro more than once.

Each time you upgrade visual micro you will need to remove the .addin from the vm program files folder.

You will see that visual micro provides a .addin for each ide version. You only need to work with the one for your version.

You point me to the right direction.
But i did not move or copy the .addin file i just add the Path into the VS-Dialog.



The yellow marked line was only in the Admin-Config. So i add it also to the User-Config.

BTW: On my german VS2013 it is not "tools>options>environment>macro security" but "Extras>Umgebung>Add-In-Sicherheit".

A 2nd short question: Should the installer not move the .addin file to the "%VSAPPDATA%\Addins" Folder instead of using the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Micro\Visual Micro for Arduino" so the "For Everyone" would make more sense?
