Pre and post build events support
May 7th, 2015 at 1:37pm

Does Visual Micro supports   pre/post build events?
I found something like:

In platform.txt, pre and post build hooks can now be specified. Example: recipe.hooks.prebuild.0.pattern=echo "Hello {build.source.path}"
but can't make sense of it. My  platform is: Arduino ESP8266 platform
but I can't find any: recipe.hooks.prebuild. etc.
In VS Project->propertis->Build Events-> pre-build events, I tried enetering: time /T >time.txt but nothing happend.

Hi,

Visual Micro works the same as the arduino ide. Pre and post build events need to be defined in boards or platform.txt

It's on the list to also add support for VS events

If you change the txt files either click "tools>visual micro>reload tool chains", click rescan in the explorer or restart the ide

Thanks
