Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....

visual micro toolbar is missing after reinstallation

Hello
I had reinstalled atmel studio 6.2
but now when I install visual micro plugin I don't see the visual micro toolbar and I don't see the tool-->visual micro
I had tried few times to remove atmel studio and visual micro and to reinstall, but it just does not install properly.
What should I do?

Hi,

Clicking "Tool>Visual Micro>Reset User Interface" should restart Atmel Studio and fix the issue?

Thats the problem
I dont have the "Tool>Visual Micro..." option

Oh sorry I misread your message,

1)
Did you download from the atmel gallery or from visualmciro.com?

2)
Running 32 or 64 bit windows?

3)
Is visual micro installing to the default program files folder or do you change it to a different location during install?

The solution is to manually add the location of the "program files/visual micro/arduino for visual studio" folder to "Tools>Options>Environment>Add-in/Macro Security>Locations". 

Then click "Tools>Visual Micro>Reset User Interface" (which will appear after setting the location)

Knowing the answers to the above questions will help me nail the issue. Thanks!

You could also try the install from visualmicro.com which is more recent than the gallery and supposed to fix the issue.

Thanks, two questions:-

1)
Was any visual micro path in the locations list?

2)
Did you leave the two installer options on the defaults? Default install location and install "for all users"?
