Hi, Ihave installed AS 6.2 and already have Arduino IDE 1.6.3. I have installed the Arduino plugin but I cannot get AS to link into the arduino IDE. I cannot find 'configuration manager' to set this up. Can anyone advise?

Hi,

Please take a look at point 1) in our FAQ and also please confirm if you downloaded from the atmel gallery or visualmicro.com

Thanks

Hi, i assume you refer to "Please identify the folder where Visual Micro was installed, normally "C:\Program Files (x86)\Visual Micro\Visual Micro for Arduino"? This was where the app was installed as default. How is this idenfification done? I had assumed that 'configuration mangaer' would be available to desribe the path. Is there any other way for AS to find arduino IDE?

The plugin was downloaded from both sites and reinstalled each time after each version failed to work. I cannot find any option in the AS 6.2 menu to locate my Arduino IDE.

Hi,

1)
Did you check point 1) of the FAQ mentioned previously?

2)
Do you have a "tools>visual micro" menu?

Thanks

Hi, as I stated previously, I do not see how this 'identification' takes place. I have no 'visual micro' under 'tools'.

I am sorry I am not being clear so I will ask one question only Smiley

Do you have an Atmel Studio option called "Tools>options>environment>addin/macro security"?

Hi, I have followed the installation as per point 1 and added the path through 'addin/macro security'. The AS now sees the visual micro although the arduino options are greyed out and not selectable.  Shocked

Thanks,

We are looking into why recent updates are not installing correctly for some users. It's good you have added the path

1)
Please look at "Tools>Addin Manager" and ensure Visual Micro the first two checkboxes are checked

2)
Re-start Atmel Studio

3)
If still a problem then click "tools>visual micro>reset user interface"

Do you now have a "tools>visual micro" menu? Does it contain an Ide locations option.

Thanks
