Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

VS Community 2015, 1508.17 Sp3 on german Win 10

Hi,

I've just installed the above mentioned tools (final versions). They are appearing within VS, but if I try to create a new Arduino project I always get the message:

Unable to create new sketch. Falscher Parameter. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG))

The Arduino IDE is running fine. Opening an existing project does not throw such a message, but even does not succeed.

What should I try or provide to get it going?

Hi,

Visual Studio 2015 is the first Vs Ide that does not have C++ installed as standard. It's an option when you click custom install but I think there is also an "Install C++" option in the C++ templates section of the "File>New>Project" wizard.

When you say "opening existing project works okay" do you mean when you open an arduino project in visual studio or in the arduino ide?

Nice, it works now.

I thought, that I could accomplish installation of C++ within VC. May be, I've used the wrong buttons.

After going by control panel/software and adding the C++ components there it now runs as expected.
