Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Win 7 installs OK; still can't install VisualMicro on Win 10

Many are said to have VM working under Win 10, but I haven't found any way to get a menu item under "Tools" in Atmel Studio 6.2 (VisualMicro installs correctly on Win 7). I've followed all FAQ comments, installed from within Atmel Studio and from the VisualMicro site, but no menu item appears under Win 10. Any thoughts on why?

Hi,

Sorry to hear that.

Let's run through a few checks.

Can you please show a screen shot of your "tools>options>environment>addin/macro security>locations" or email it to info [at] visualmicro.com

Also confirm the path that visual micro is installed into which is normally something like this "\program files (x86)\visual micro\visual micro for arduino"
