Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Visual Micro not recognized on VS2008 after an uninstall

Hi, 

Suddenly I had problems with visual micro. It was responding inconsistently. I have decided to uninstall by selecting remove on the installation, but now Visual Studio 2008 is not recognizing it.
Any suggestion?

Hi,

You never need to reinstall Visual Micro for those reasons. You can explain what "inconsistently" means to the forum and we will help.

For VS2008 please see the Release Notes from May this year > Release Candidate (1505.03) - 3rd May 2015

You will read that .net3.5 and VS2008 are no longer supported. This is because the software is old and prevented Visual Micro from moving forward. Furthermore last year Microsoft release VS2013 Community Edition as a free Ide so that negated the need to support Vs2008 Pro. Since last year Microsoft has also released VS2015 Community which is also free.

So you can either upgrade your ide or install a pre May version of Visual Micro from http://visualmicro.codeplex.com>DOWNLOADS

Thanks for your assistance. I have downloaded VS2015 community of course looks like it is a 30 day trial and the latest Visual Micro plug in vxi format and works fine. Now I have bought a debugger license before. Can I use that license and how can I install it or do I need to buy another?

Community is free so no trial.

If the debugger is not active and your key fails to work then email your license key to info [at] visualmicro.com.

Thanks. How do I notice if the license is missing. Up to now I am able to debug, breakpoints and others.

If debug is working then you are licensed but it might be the trial. You can see in "tools>options>visual micro>license status" if REGISTERED or (Trial Days Remaining). If not REGISTERED the key can be entered in the field above the status.

You will also be prompted for a key when/if a trial expires
