Hi,

Intellisense in Visual studio is being improved all the time but if you have both the new visual micro extension installed and also the older 1508.14 there will be problems. You have to uninstall the older 1508 system via control panel then click "tools>visual micro>reset user interaface" to clean up the older stuff. 

It's important for us to move from the older add-in system to the new extension because support was very difficult for addins. I appreciate it worked well for you but I have to support most people who use the free system so it's important to ensure support takes the least amount of time.

The new microsoft design for extensions is really great and allows me to enhance the software when previously my hands were tied. 

Unfortunately the new Microsoft system is not supported in Vs2010 which also means As6.2

Atmel recently release Atmel Studio 7 which is based on Visual Studio 2015. My preference is Visual Studio but it does depend on what you are doing and entirely up to you. The Atmel version of Visual Micro will always be slightly behind the Visual Studio version but it's okay if that is what you want to use.
