Hi,
I just upgraded from Windows 8 to a clean install of Windows 10. Previously (on my Windows 8 installation) I had Atmel Studio 6.2 installed with the Arduino/Visial Micro plugin. This worked with no problems.
However, after "upgrading" my OS, I installed the Arduino software, Atmel Studio, and Visual Micro, essentially following the
installation guide except for the step where it directed me to open Atmel Studio before installing Visual Micro. Instead, I installed Visual Micro before opening Atmel Studio for the first time. The apparent result was that when I finally did open Atmel Studio, no Configure IDE Locations window popped up, and there was no Arduino interface toolbar or menu options.
Next, I did something like uninstall Atmel Studio and Visual Micro, and re-did the previous process, this time correctly following the guide. Same problem.
I then uninstalled Atmel Studio 6.2 and installed Atmel Studio 7. I then opened Atmel Studio and downloaded Visual Micro from its downloads window/interface. However, I'd forgotten to uninstall Visual Micro before this, so I closed Atmel Studio and uninstalled it, opened Atmel Studio, closed Atmel Studio, installed the new version of Visual Micro, and opened Atmel Studio again. Still, within Atmel Studio there is no sign of an Arduino interface or Visual Micro.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
