Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

DUE - Error creating .elf with Arduino 1.6.5 (Solved by update to Arduino 1.6.7)

Sinds yesterday out of the blue
arm-none-eabi-gcc*:error: syscalls_sam3.c.o: No such file or directory
Error creating .elf

uninstalled vm, removed all files, registry entries etc. reinstalled. Not working.

message itself is correct as the syscalls_sam3.c.o is not to be found in arduino_due_x_dbg but in arduino_due_x_dbg\core

Upgraded the IDE to 1.6.7, reloaded the boards and somehow the VM works again!?  Embarrassed

Thanks for the update. 

Yesterday I was testing  Arduino 1.6.5 with the latest SAM core from Boards Manager and it had the same error but 1.6.7 was okay.

There have been a lot of changes in Arduino recently and core manufacturers have to decide on which version to be compatible with. It's not much fun Smiley
