Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

options button in Serial Monitor disabled

I had debugging working a few weeks ago. Now the options button in Serial Monitor is disabled. Adding a break point has no effect and there is no selection in the OUTPUT window drop-down for debugging status.

1. I updated to options button in Serial Monitor disabled VERSION 1602.20.0
2. Followed the debugging tutorial, but got stuck at the options button in Serial Monitor.
3. I tried to reset VisualMicro to it's default but do not have this selection on the VM tab: click "Tools>Visual Micro>Reset User Interface"

P.S. I have both Visual Studio 2013 & 2015 installed because I am moving up tp 2015. The same problems occur in both versions. Could I have lost my paid status causing the debugger to be disabled?

Any suggestions?

Hi, please confirm that visual micro automatic debug is on.

Confirm if your toolbar is set to release or debug

Confirm what text appears in tools.options.visualmicro.license status

Confirm if your toolbar is set to release or debug = yes
Confirm what text appears in tools.options.visualmicro.license status = registered
also
tools.options.visualmicro.Upload/Debug Active Code = false so I set this one to true.

Now it is actively debugging in the example code.
