Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Can't turn off verification

I've gone to Tools -> Options -> Visual Micro ->Compiler -> Upload Verify == False.

I just noticed vMicro -> Uploader -> Verify which is un-checked.

I'm using:

VS 2015 Community 14.0.25123.00 Update 2
Visual Micro 1606.17.0

I wouldn't mind it, but I just timed it and the verification took almost 5 minutes.

I forgot about the old hard coded version for 1.0.x. Will add to the next release, should be a week or so max

Is it possible to revert to an older version of VM that doesn't do this? Unfortunately I'm stuck with 1.0.6 until a bug gets fixed in the arduino compiler.

Really sorry. I just checked the verify switch is working but has been moved to the paid version. However  the menu item isn't disabled as it should be. That's fixed in the next release.

Are you using free or paid?

Great then we should be able to get it working.

Please make sure Verify is not checked (the vMicro>Uploader menu should be the same as tools options)

Also make sure Verbose is checked.

Then try to upload and post or email the output (email: info [at] visualmicro.com)

Downloaded, now trying to figure out how to install. When I double-click vsix file, I get a Usage error.

Got it. Had to associate .vsix files with VSIX installer. Seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!

It's easier to install from within the software "Tools>Extensions and Updates>Online".

When an update is available you should see a flag in the IDE title bar and also Visual Micro should be listed in "Tools>Extensions and Updates>Updates"

That's how I usually do it, but there must be some lag when a new version comes out. I didn't see where to force an update check. Anyways, thanks for the great support and a great product.
