New Microsoft Visual Studio Code

So I downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio Code last night and have tinkered with it for several hours this morning.  I kinda like it.  Has anyone else tried it?  Is this the eventual successor to Studio?  Will VisualMicro some day run in  it?

Comments, opinions, rants... anyone?

Hi,

I am waiting to see what others do.

I know Microsoft really want an Arduino solution, Atmel also. There are lots of people looking at it and its a lot of effort to maintain the tools.

Amongst the myriad of languages supported is... "Arduino".
It has partial intellisense; as you type it pops up lists of valid types, existing variable names and procedures names.  It does not do the squiggly underline for unrecognized code.  It's small, loads quickly, and is portable, and cross-platform.  If nothing else, I may use it to replace notepad for .txt, .ini etc.
