Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Switch the toolbar from Debug to Release then upload.

that is not a good solution because I still want the serial debugger open and showing serial.print() output.  I simply dont want to see the expression dialog pop open every time.

Another way?

Did you try to dock it on a tab so it isn't visible?

docking it doesnt work well for it doesnt preserve its place in reference to the serial debugger tab. - another bug.

Visual studio manages tab positions. I will try it but it sounds like you only tried one docked position?

The window being opened isn't a bug.
