Hi there,

I'm having difficulties debugging .cpp library files, so I searched the Arduino Debugger board and found a post ("Breakpoints not working in class libraries") that described my problems exactly.  So yesterday I posted a reply to ask for clarification of the solution.

Today I logged into the forum to check for an answer, only to find that my posted reply had been removed and the topic is now locked.  And no, I wasn't rude or obnoxious, nor did I break any forum rules.

So, what does it mean when a topic is locked?  And how do I go about getting the clarification I seek?

I could start a my own topic I suppose, but what was wrong with the approach I took of posting a reply on an open / normal topic?

Kind regards.

Hi,

You should have had an email with my reply in a new thread which is here http://www.visualmicro.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1473225859/0#0

The thread you used was resolved so your issue must be different and best in a new thread. You will see that I also attached a note to say we avoid other users receiving notification (spam) emails by creating your own threads.

After split, I locked the topic so that the author doesn't get anymore emails for an issue he has stated is resolved.

Thanks

Thanks for setting up a new thread.  I never did get the email .... Huh

As for locking the topic - well that certainly makes sense.

Cheers,
