That's a good write up! Sorry to say this forum is just to help with install and use of the Visual Micro software. 

All hardware related questions are best asked on stackoverflow>arduino or on the esp8266 community forum.

My experience is limited and won't be so much help.

In fact my only experience of this type of issue, which might not be relevant, is to say that when the esp starts it attempts to use more current than when running and there isn't enough current so it restarts.
