Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

Use Atmel Studio + Visual Arduino with ATMEL XPlained mini

Hello,

I have acquired an ATMEL Xplained mini ATMEGA328P evaluation board with the mEDBG duggeging tool.

I would like to use it with the ATMEL Studio + Visual Arduino plugin to get profit of the arduino librairies and sketchs I have already developped.
 
The Xplained mini board is configured with 3.3V@8Mhz.

The issue is that I need to burn an arduino bootloader but I do not know how to do it and find the process to to do it with no harm to the device.

Could you let me know how to proceed?
I have many times burnt bootloader on standalone 328P chips with the arduino process (thanks to a third party arduino board programmed as ISP). Is the same OK with xplained mini? 
What settings / optiboot file should then I use?

This has now been released in the latest 1702.15 version of visual micro
