I installed Visual Micro.  There are no options to connect to a serial port at the top tool box.  Any suggestion

Hi,

Are any ports showing in the arduino ide?

What board have you connected?

If a new arduino user, how did you install the arduino ide?

I realized I connected a Netduino instead!  I just ordered an Arduino for $17 on Amazon.  See you in a week.  How do I close this?

Smiley

out of interest.

doesn't the netduino have a serial port?  if so it should still show up if it has a com capable usb driver installed. the devices that show in "device manager > com and lpt ports" should appear in the visual micro ports list.
