Error Compiling

Hey I'm a relatively new programmer so I assume I am missing something simple but I get "error compiling" message. I am using visual studio 2015 and the the last revision of visual micro and Arduino 1.6. I have tried uninstalling and installing Arduino and visual micro along with pointing to the Arduino.exe directory and changing boards. Thank you! http://imgur.com/Rvn8ym0

Yesterday I installed the Visual Micro for the first time but the most recent reinstall has been today. And Arduino 1.6.13.

Okay let's review a few things please.

1) was it working yesterday and broke today or has never worked?
2) what version is displayed for visual micro in "tools>extensions and Updates"?
3) can you please close the current solution because it contains two projects so it confused things.
4) create a new empty arduino project. then switch on vmicro>compiler>verbose and also "vMicro>compiler>show build properties".
5) build the new project and then copy the output into a .txt file and email to info[at]visualmicro.com

Thanks

1) yesterday I was having issues with getting the program to recognize identifiers such as delay() or digitalRead. So I reinstalled a previous revision of Arduino and Visual Micro.
2) 15.8
3) Done; tested again, same error
4) and 5) sent

Thanks for being so prompt!

Update: I feel kind of silly but apparently I had a previous version of some Arduino software that I thought I had gotten rid of. So after uninstalling all Arduino software and Visual Micro I reinstalled all of the newest software and now it works. Thanks for your time and sorry for kind of wasting some of it!
