Hi all,

I'm new to VM. I looked for the answer to my question but.....

I use VM als plugin in Visual Studio 2015. What I like to do is add more (default) code to the template that opens when i open a new Arduino project. Where is the foile located that holds the default code. Or is it possible to add more (Arduino) templates to choose from when I want to start a new project?

Regards,
Johan

Hi,

Yes the standard visual studio commands allow you to create project or item templates.

To create a project template:-

click the project name in the solution explorer.
click menu item "File>Export Template"

You will find that templates are simply a few files in a zip file. If the zip is located in the correct location then visual studio will automatically add it to the File>New>Project wizard.

The correct location is shown in tools>options and I think it also becomes obvious when using File>Export Template.
