Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Hi, I experienced a different upload behaviour between vMicro with VisualStudio and Arduino.

Board used: Huzzah Feather ESP8266 with USB

a) in vMicro I need GPIO0 pulled LOW, after that the update process works in ~80% of the tries.
b) in Arduino I can just call the Upload function (Ctrl+U) and it works fine.

The configuration seem to be the same, as fasr as I can see in the UI. 

Any idea?

If someone can give me a link to more information on further configuration or a debug possibility, that would be great.

Hi,

If the serial monitor is open during your tests please make sure the DTR and RTS are off

For clarity it would be useful to ensure the tool bar is set to Release and not Debug, then make sure the serial is closed.

After that ensure a clean boot of the huzza then see if it fails at all ?

Good hint, it seems that it was caused by DTR on.
