Okay, my quick dirty fix for this, which means I can upload normally now from Visual Micro was to edit the boards.txt file at:

C:\Users\Phil\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\arduino\hardware\samd\1.8.14

Find the entry for the board in question in the board.txt file, in my case it was Arduino M0 and simply add -u after the protocol then restart Visual Studio

Code
Select All
mzero_bl.upload.protocol=stk500v2 -u

This then gets added to the command line, and uploads are all working without the long delays.

Great thanks. That helps. It is either a problem with the working directory or with the stray -V in the command

1)
Please try this, I have removed a stray -V

Code
Select All
.3.0-arduino9\bin\avrdude  e\6.3.0-arduino9/etc/avrdude.conf" -v -v -patmega2560 -cstk500v2 -PCOM15 -b57600 lease/JouleTest.ino.hex:i"

2)
Then change to the arduino.exe folder and try it again. By running from the arduino ide folder the working directory will be different.

Thanks very much!

I wonder if that stray -v should actually be a -u  (see above posts)

Thanks for the update and we will look at adding this in for the M0 / M0 Pro Boards, and update this thread when it is released for download.

We have added this fix into the latest version of vMicro (25.1009.3) for the M0/M0Pro Arduino Boards, which can be downloaded from the top of the below board:
