Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Problem uploading to SAMD based boards

When uploading to a SAMD based board I get the following problem:
avrdude: 26796 bytes of flash verified
avrdude: stk500isp_read_byte(.., lfuse, 0x0, ...)
avrdude: stk500isp_read_byte(): Sending read memory command: avrdude: ser_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500isp_read_byte(.., lfuse, 0x0, ...)
avrdude: stk500isp_read_byte(): Sending read memory command: avrdude: ser_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500isp_read_byte(.., lfuse, 0x0, ...)

This does not happen when uploading through the Arduino IDE.

Please help.

Hi,

Please switch on verbose and show build properties so we can see your config what .exe is being called to perform the upload.

Post or email the output after upload as .txt

Sorry. Just realized I posted the same error report a year ago:

The issue is still unresolved. Given that SAMD boards are getting more and more popular, this issue really needs to be fixed.
