Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Visual Studio Community 2015 locks up

I had used vMicro a few times a year or so ago quite successfully.   Today when I went to use it I got a message to update, so I went to Tools Extentions Updates and updated to the latest vMicro.


I can compile and install but after visual studio has been running for some minutes, it locks up, I then use task manager to kill it and start again , this is somewhat annoying.   

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling I still have issues.

On the last lock up I tried to join this group and after some mucking around successfully logged in and  Visual Studio had unlocked.  So it may be that given enough time ( several minutes ) visual studio unlocks. 

The lock ups are toooooo long to ignore.

Any ideas please!

No ideas but Microsoft have been fixing a lot of IDE bugs over the past 2 years so why not try VS 2017

Well I took your advice and installed the 2017 version, so far working a charm.

Great. I think it's just that VS2015 is really slow to install stuff in background. It probably would have sorted itself out eventually but it's better we just work with Microsoft latest bugs Smiley
