Hi,
I'm facing an issue with the installation of the Vmicro extension to VS Ent. 2017.
I keep getting 'The extension cannot be installed to this product due to prerequisites that cannot be resolved.'
What are the prerequisites?

Thank you for your help.

PS: I got it working on Visual Studio 2015.

Got it working.
In stead of installing it by double-clicking the EXE file, I went to Visual Studio - Tools - Extensions and Updates and downloaded/installed it from there.

Great. Yes Microsoft have been screwing up the external installer for years. The program that is associated to .vsix files on your machine is pointing to the vsixinstaller.exe in the vs2015 folder instead of the one in the VS2017 folder. Sometimes the registration relates to the order you install or repair and sometimes VS2017 simply fails to register the fact is has a vsixinstaller.exe. You can correct the issue by right clicking a vsix and then using "Open With" to specify the correct vsixinstaller location.

BUT, for this reason, the easiest way to install is always via tools>extensions and updates which knows which vsixinstaller.exe to use based on your current IDE.

Hi,
Today I decided to update vMicro on my VS2017.
And now I can't install it anymore due to the same problem.
However, I download it via "Extensions and Updates" menu.
