Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR

Hi, I'm trying to update to the new version and I get this error:

Please state if you are installing from inside the IDE or direct from the gallery?

Okay you need to contact atmel/microchip. They are responsible for the installer.

Go to the gallery and scroll to the bottom, use the contact us or the support option.

Also see if there is a microchip gallery extension in the gallery. They have some weird rubbish going on since change over from atmel to microchip and you might need the updated gallery.
