I think the vs extension installer should install c++ automatically.

Visual Micro only needs to be able to build basic windows c++ (VC++) win32 programs. That gives is intellisense, Visual Micro does the rest.

If you have a board such as esp32 that has a micro web server then you might find the web development tools are also useful.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I've been using VM for many years now. ESP's are the reason I'm upgrading. Going back to VS. Reading this is where I got lost.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/install/install-visual-studio?view...

What workloads do I choose for unos, ancient RBBB's, Wifi (ESP's) and maybe some of the new stuff that use other than AVR?

What dot net?

PS - You're debugger has saved my sanity MANY times. I'll be paying for a new subscription, (If I can get it to work Cheesy)

Good to hear that.

If you want to click something then install the windows desktop c++ development.

What problem are you having?
