Problem with VS2019

First of all, a happy 2020.

I have the following problem.
Until recently I used VS2017 with Arduino 1.8.10 and was able to compile for the ESP8266 or Arduino Nano without any problems.
Since I have upgraded to Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 Version 16.4.2 and installed the Visual Micro plug-in 1911_28_3.vsix this is no longer possible.
All items from the Visual Micro menu under VS2019 are gray (so Verbose is not possible) and I get error messages like "cannot open source file Wire.h" or "expected a ')'" in the (unknown to me) file gluedebug.h.
It looks like compiling for the x86 platform.

What am I doing wrong?
