Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

You can burn a bootloader using atmel studio if the one provided by your board doesn't work. However it always helps to provide the errors you see and the info requested in yellow above.

The bootloader relates only to being able to program over serial, it is unrelated to debugging.

If you have configured visual micro to use atmel device programming for upload then for serial debug you probably need to specify your local and remote ports on the vMicro>Debugger menu. LocalPort might be COM10, remote port might be Serial2.
