Actually I did have a breakpoint set in my code. But if I start my code in debugging mode with the berakpoint set at another line, the Trap/Breakpoint error disappear. If I then try to set breakpoint number 2 in my code, the error pop up again. But the code stop at both breakpoints. So it seems to work as expected with the annoying error halting program execution when the breakpoint statement is executed.

Actually I do have a breakpoint enabled in my code. So it shoudn't be missing breakpoint(s) causing the problem.

Meanwhile I got my Arduino Nano board up running. And this board has the same problem as my Arduino Uno board => the Trace/Breakpoint error.
Everything else regarding debugging works fine, so actually I have the exact same status on my Arduino Uno and my Arduino Nano board now. Everything works except for the Trace/Breakpoint error.
