Visual Micro for VS2022
Visual Micro for VS2017/2019
Visual Micro for Microchip Studio (AS7)

This version of Visual Micro provides the ability to dramatically reduce build times. Future releases will provide control via the user interface. See the docs for how to control cache settings on a per project basis.

  • Implement options to control cache creation at all stages. The defaults are a happy medium beween ease of use and speed. Cache can be slowed down to work or can speed up. Most projects will be able to use super-fast mode. Doc to follow on release. Ask in this forum if you need guidance.
  • The simple "File>New>Arduino Project" and "File>Open>Arduino Project" will show on the recently opened projects and solutions lists in VS. These functions will also attempt to create sketches in a sub folder so that the solution file (.sln) can be placed in the parent folder. For example "sketch1\sketch1".
  • Boards that use files such as build_opt.h will correctly recompile core and libraries when the options change.
