Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Visual Micro for Microchip Studio (AS7)

  • Use archive files if the link command is > 30k. Prior to link, creates objs.a archives for the object files in each folder. This functionality can be forced on for all builds using board.txt property:- vm.linker.dot_a_create=true. The caching can be disabled with this property:- linker.dot_a_cache=false
  • Improvement: ConvertToLinuxProject now shows clear error message when a configuration is available in a project and not in the solution (Reported Here).
  • Fix: Resolved one area where creation of Temporary Folders could replace "." with "_" in usernames causing Library Installation to fail.
