Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Can I develop Raspberry Pi Zero 2 (RP2350, announced August 4th 2024) projects with Visual Micro? 

If not, are there plans for the near future?

Once there is an available Arduino compatible board package for this architecture, Visual Micro will support it.

I can see Adafruit, Sparkfun and others are looking to produce boards with this MCU, however I haven't found a released package just yet which supports it.

When we see one we will update, and integrate any other features which need attention for the new MCU.

It looks like there is one being developed currently, but it is still in Alpha, and needs manual installation via Git:
https://github.com/PontusO/arduino-pico-rp2350

We haven't tried this currently, and will keep an eye out for it reaching released status....

In case you hadn't been updated, the Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040/RP2350 Package has been updated with new boards, and supports the Pico2 (and variants).

We'll update when the debugging configurations are released in the coming days.

The Board Package is published by Earl Philhower, and will show in the Micro Explorer > Board Manager tab after clicking "Check For Updates" at the top.

There is no update to Visual Micro needed itself to use these boards, just the board package which is installed.
