Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

  • Feature: Add vMicro > New Portable Arduino Solution Screen. Only shows when no Solution or Project is open Allows install of board package and sketch creation (Info Sketch Project is added if No Sketch is Added or included in Solution but boards are being installed) User Guide.
  • Fix: Hardware Debug/Programmer: SAM + JLink: Ensure SWD Transport is forced for Upload and Debugging (Reported Here)
  • Fix: Hardware Debugging: When Startup was cancelled, or Debugging Exited the underlying OpenOCD/GDB Process are sometimes Orphaned and this locks logfiles/.gbdinit files in Build Folder, as well as potentially preventing future debugging sessions starting.  Child Processes are now enumerated and all GDB/OpenOCD Children are killed when the debug process faults, or exits.
  • Fix: Remove Import Local Arduino Libraries from vMicro > Add Code > Menu as obsolete against other current features (Docs: How to Encapsulate Libraries Within a Solution)
