Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

"publish server datafile" function not working

it generates the esp32fsupload.exe long command line, but this command does not do or even output any information.

Thanks for the report.

Please enable the below options:
  • vMicro > Compiler > Verbose
  • vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • vMicro > Uploader > Verbose


If you can then attach the output from a full build, and when you run the Upload Server Data Files as a text file, we will be ablet to assist more easily.

As discussed via email, the issue here was the tabs within the csv data which were not stripped by Visual Micro.

We will update this thread when the fixed version which removes the tabs is available to download.

Also the warnings which may be seen in v5.x of EspTool (ESP32 Board Package 3.3.0 RC1 onwards) will also be resolved in this release.

If you download the latest release (25.0721.08) from the top of the below board, the issue with the tabs will be resolved, as well as resolving the warnings for the 5+ version of esptool:
