Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Breakpoint action messages do not appear in Micro Debug Message, but do show in Micro Debug Trace - is this correct?

e.g.

17:44:11.869 [up:13s:585ms perf:100ms]   MyFirstProject.ino, line 16      loop()
   LED now ON
MyFirstProject is paused at MyFirstProject.ino, line 16, loop()
MyFirstProject Running
17:45:10.800 [up:01m:12s perf:500ms]   MyFirstProject.ino, line 18      loop()
   LED now OFF
MyFirstProject is paused at MyFirstProject.ino, line 18, loop()
MyFirstProject Running

Yes—with the default settings, that is expected for the Serial debugger.

Breakpoint action text goes to Micro Debug Trace by default. Micro Debug Message receives it only when Message is checked under the Serial Monitor’s Message Windows menu.

Enable Message Windows > Message to show action text there too. Both destinations can be enabled together; the Message pane shows the message text without the surrounding trace details.
